  2. The World Snooker Championship, originally set to take place in its traditional 17-day slot in April and May, is now due to start to start on 31st July at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, England. The final will conclude on 16th August.

The event was postponed because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The World Snooker Tour says it will assess "government advice at the time" about the number of spectators allowed inside the venue, considering whether to have a reduced crowd, playing the tournament behind closed doors, or postponing the event again.
