Welshman Jak Jones claimed the second snooker ranking title of his career, and his second in as many months, beating England's Mark Selby 10-6 in the British Open final in Cheltenham, England.

South Africa's Thriston Lawrence retained the European Masters golf title after beating England's Paul Casey on the fourth play-off hole at the Crans-sur-Sierre course in Switzerland.
it was Lawrence's third victory in the annual tournament staged in Crans Montana.
