  1. Nineteen-year-old Russian Mirra Andreeva became the youngest woman to win the Roland Garros title since Monica Seles in 1992, overcoming Poland's Maja Chwalinska 6-3 6-2 in the final in Paris.
    German Alexander Zverev won a first Grand Slam title in the men's event after beating Italy's by Flavio Cobolli 6-1 4-6 6-4 6-7 (5-7) 6-1. Zverev had lost all his three previous Grand Slam finals.

  2. French club Paris Saint-Germain became only the second side to retain football's Men's UEFA Champions League after beating English outfit Arsenal in the final in Budapest, Hungary.
    The title defenders won 4-3 on penalties after the match finished 1-1 after extra time.
    Spanish giants Real Madrid, winners three years in a row between 2016 and 2018,  are the only other club to retain the European title in the Champions League era.
