England's Kyren Wilson claimed his first Masters snooker title with a 10-6 victory over John Higgins of Scotland in the final at Alexandra Palace in London.
Wilson lifted the Paul Hunter Trophy, his second Triple Crown win after the 2024 World Championship. Higgins, at 50 years of age, was the oldest ever finalist in one of snooker's prestige events.

Senegal beat Morocco 1-0 after extra time in the final to win football's Men's Africa Cup of Nations in Rabat.
It was Senegal's second AFCON title but the final was overshadowed when they temporarily refused to play after the hosts were awarded a stoppage-time penalty with the match goalless.
