Germany's Alexander Zverev beat American Ben Shelton 6-3 7-6 (7-2) 5-7 6-2 in the final to claim the Men's US Open tennis title in New York.
The day before, Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan beat two-time defending champion Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus 6-4 5-7 6-2 in the final to win her first Women's US Open.
