    Elswhere on Day four, New Zealand won the Women's Rugby Sevens, China claimed the first Table Tennis crown in the Mixed Doubles, Great Britain retained the Men's 4 x 200m Freestyle Relay and Daniel Wiffin came home first in the Men's 800m Freestyle to earn Ireland's first Gold of the Games.

There was French gold won by Nicolas Gestin in the Men's Canoe Slalom and David Popovici became the first Romanian man to ever win a Swimming gold, coming first in the Men's 200m Freestyle.
