American JJ Spaun won the men's US Open golf title at Oakmont in Pennsylvania, sinking a 64-foot birdie putt on the final hole to win by two shots on one-under-par from Scotland's Robert McIntyre.
Norway's Viktor Hovland came third, a stroke further back.

Bath won the English Premiership rugby title and Irish side Leinster lifted the United Rugby Championship trophy as two of the sport's annual tournaments were decided in London and Dublin.
Bath beat Leicester 23-21 to complete an unprecedented treble this season, having previously won the Premiership Rugby Cup and EPCR Challenge Cup, while Leinster overcame South African side Bulls 32-7 to win a league crown for the first since 2021.
