  1. American Simone Biles won the all-around Olympic Women's Gymnastics title for her second Gold in Paris and sixth overall.
    Biles, who won the title in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, became, at the age of 27, the oldest winner of her sport's blue-riband event for 72 years.
    Elsewhere on day six, 17-year-old Canadian siwmmer Summer McIntosh won the Women's 200m Butterfly, there were Golds for New Zealand, USA, Netherlands and Romania in the Rowing and China won the Women's 20km Race Walk and Shooting's 50m Rifle event to go top of the Medal table.

  2. Frenchman Leon Marchand became the first swimmer to ever win two individual Olympic Gold medals in the same session as he triumphed in both the 200m Butterfly and the 200m Breaststroke at a raucous La Defense Arena in Paris to make it three Golds at the Games for the 22-year-old from Toulouse.
    Elsewhere on Day five, there was more Gold for the home team as Cassandre Beaugrand won the Women's Triathlon and Great Britain's Alex Yee won the Men's equivalent race with a sprint finish to deny New Zealand Hayden Wilde and on the Rowing lake the GB Women's Quad Scualls pipped the Netherlands on the final stroke.
    Australia's Jessica Fox made it double personal Canoe Slalom Gold with victory in the C1 to add to her previous triumph this week in the K1.
