  1. The Eredivisie, the top division of football in the Netherlands, will have with no title winner this season after the governing body, the KNVB, ended the 2019/20 campaign.

    The move comes after the national government banned major events until September because of the Covid-19 outbreak which has so far claimed 4,000 lives in the country.

    Ajax led the table from AZ Alkmaar on goal difference with nine games left but will not be named champions. There will also be no promotion or relegation to and from the second tier.

  2. The Women's European Football Championship will take place in July 2022.

    The tournament, to be held in England with the final at Wembley Stadium, was due to staged in 2021 but was been pushed back after the men's equivalent tournament and the Tokyo Olympics were both postponed until next year because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
