Morikawa & Ko win big

Collin Morikawa won golf's European Tour Championship in Dubai, UAE and also clinched the Tour's season-long "Race to Dubai" title.

Morikawa finished three clear of England's defending champion Matt Fitzpatrick. Morikawa is the first American to win the European Tour's money list.

Korea's Ko Jin-young clinched the £1.1m biggest prize in women's golf as she won the LPGA Tour Championship to secure the player of the year title.

Ko held off Japan's Nasa Hataoka by one stroke.
A Plus Tard excels

A Plus Tard won horse racing's Lancashire Chase by a massive 22 lengths under jockey Rachael Blackmore.for Irish trainer Henry de Bromhead.

Royale Pagaille was second with Chatham Street Lad and Clondaw Castle the only other finishers. Bristol De Mai, seeking a fourth win in the race, was pulled up.
