  1. England fought back from 1-0 down to win the series against West Indies 2-1 with a pair of victories in Manchester behind closed doors due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

    Pace bowler Stuart Broad became just the seventh player in the sport's history to take 500 wickets in a Test career, as he claimed 10 victims in the final Test match at Old Trafford, won by the hosts by 269 runs.

    This was the last series contested for the Wisden Trophy, which will now be retired to the museum at Lord's Cricket Ground in London. From now on a new prize will be up for grabs, the Richards-Botham Trophy, in Test series between England and West Indies.

  2. Italy's Renato Paratore won the British Masters in Northumberland, England to claim his second European Tour victory. His two-under-par 69 had him on a total of 18-under, three shots clear of Rasmus Hojgaard of Denmark (70), with South African Justin Harding third.     It was the first of six European Tour events that will be staged in the UK this summer, with next week's English Open being held in Birmingham.
