South Africa's Elton Jantjies scored a penalty after the final hooter as South Africa beat New Zealand 31-29 in the final match of the Rugby Championship in Gold Coast, Australia.

However, the All Blacks had already retianed the title and still cling on to the Freedom Cup, having beaten the Springboks the week before.

Warwickshire beat Lancashire by an innings and 199 runs to become the second winners of English county cricket's Bob Willis Trophy at Lord's in London.

The Bears had won the County Championship the previous week and now lifted the prize named after one of the greatest former players.
