Ireland-trained Inothewayurthinkin won horse racing's Cheltenham Gold Cup by six lengths to deny another Irish horse, second-placed 2023 & 2024 winner Galopin Des Champs, an historic hat-trick. Gentlemansgame was third.
Ridden by Mark Walsh for trainer Gavin Cromwell, the winner had only been added to the race as a supplementary entry six days earlier at a cost of £25,000. The first prize was £280,000.

English-trained horse Golden Ace won the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham at the staggering odds of 25/1 with 66/1 shot Burdett Road second and the 150/1-rated Winter Fog third.
2023 winner Constitution Hill and last year's victor State Man both fell during the race but were unjured.
Earlier, Ireland's Lossiemouth retained the Mares' Hurdle crown, Jango Baie won the Arkle for England and Irish runner Kopek des Bordes triumphed in the Supreme Novies' Hurdle.
