  1. Irish-trained Lambourn became the 20th horse to complete the English-Irish Derby double, accounting at The Curragh in County Kildare three weeks after his win at Epsom. Among the other thoroughbreds to do the double are Lambourn's father Australia and grandfather Galileo.
    Englishman Ryan Moore is the first jockey to win the race three years running and trainer Aidan O'Brien notched his 17th triumph in his home Derby. Serious Contender finished second with Lazy Griff third.

  2. Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Indiana Pacers 103-91 in the first NBA Championship deciding seventh match of a Finals series for nine years.
    Canadian Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 29 points and had 12 assists in the win  in Oklahoma to clinch the series 4-3 and was named the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP) to add to his NBA regular season MVP award and scoring title, just the fourth player to achieve the treble in one season.
    It is the Thunder's first title since the franchise moved to Oklahoma City from Seattle in 2008 after Seattle won the 1979 crown.
