Irish-trained Poetic Flare won the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket, England. The winner edged out Master Of The Seas by a short head, with Lucky Vega third.
Jockey Kevin Manning, 54, is the oldest jockey to win a British Classic since a 56-year-old Lester Piggott won the same race on Rodrigo De Triano in 1992.

Manchester City won the English Football League Cup for a record-equalling fourth time in succession with a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at London's Wembley Stadium.
Aymeric Laporte scored the winning goal with a header eight minutes from time.
The final was played in front of 8,000 supporters, including 2,000 from each club, as part of the UK's gradual return out of their latest Covid-19 lockdown.
