  1. Tunisia's Ons Jabeur claimed her first WTA tennis title of the season with victory over Belinda Bencic of Switzerland 7-6 (8-6) 6-4 in the final of the Charleston Open in South Carolina, USA.

    Defending champion Bencic played two matches on Sunday, completing a rain-interrupted semi-final against Jessica Pegula before facing Jabeur. It is Jabeur's fourth WTA title and second on clay.

    Russian Daniil Medvedev won the ATP Miami Open tennis title for the first time by beating  Italy's Jannik Sinner 7-5 6-3. It was the fifth Masters 1,000 crown of his career and his fourth ATP title of 2023 following wins in Dubai, Doha and Rotterdam.

    In the WTA event, Czech Petra Kvitova claimed her maiden Miami Open title with a 7-6 (16-14) 6-2 victory over Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina, ending a 13-match winning streak for Wimbledon champion Rybakina.
