Snooker
International Open

This started out as a non-ranking event in 1981, when Steve David beat Dennis Taylor 9-0 in the final in Derby. The next year it attained ranking status and was an early-season fixture on the circuit until 1989 but then drifted off the calendar for years. It returned in 1993 as an end of season affair and then waqs shifted to February before finally being superseded by the Scottish Open.
