Rugby - Men's World Sevens Series Champions

An annual series of Seven-a-side rugby tournaments contested by men's national teams inaugurated in 1999/2000. Each of the events on the circuit is contested by the same 12 nations each year.
At each tournament, the winner earns 20 points and all the 11 remaining sides are allocated points on a sliding scale down to the loser of the 11th place play-off (one point). The overall winner of the series is the team that earns the most points across all the events.
At the end of each annual series, the bottom four teams play in a promotion/relegation play-off alongside the four best sides from that season's second-tier Challenger series to decide who will join the eight top-ranked teams in the World Sevene Series the following year.
