Horse Racing - Champion Stayers Hurdle

This race, held in Ireland each year, is staged over a distance of three miles (4,828 metres) at Punchestown racecourse, County Kildare, Ireland during its annual Festival meeting in late April/early May. The race is open to horses aged four-years-old and over. It attained Grade 1 status in 1996, when it was known as the Tipperkevin Hurdle. It was given its current name in 1997. For much of the easrly part of the 21st century it was called the World Series Hurdle but reverted to the Champion Stayers Hurdle from 2017. It was not staged in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
