Springboks make history

Posted on

South Africa became the first nation to win the Men's Rugby World Cup four times when they beat New Zealand 12-11 in the final at Stade de France in Paris. The Springboks also retained the trophy, having triumphed in Japan in 2019.
They relied on four penalties from Handre Pollard, while the All Blacks responded with a Beauden Barrett try and a pair of Richie Mo'unga kicks and had skipper Sam Cane shown the red card in the first half for a gangerous tackle.
