McIlroy on top in Canada

Posted on

Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy retained golf's Canadian Open title at St George's in Toronto, which was staged for the first time since 2019 due to back-to-back cancellations forced by the Covid-19 pandemic.

It was the 21st PGA Tour win of the 33-year-old's career. Americans Tony Finau and Justin Thomas were second and third, two and four shots behind McIlroy respectively.
