Bolger claims Guineas at last

Mac Swiney, a horse trained by Jim Bolger, won the Irish 2,000 Guineas at The Curragh, County Kildare ahead of second-placed stablemate Poetic Flare, who won the English version at Newmarket three weeks earlier.
Bolger had never previously won the Classic.and it was the biggest victory of jockey Rory Cleary.
