Spain's Jon Rahm beat American Dustin Johnson on the first hole of a play-off to win the second event of the PGA Tour's three-week end of season series at Olympia Fields in Chicago, USA.

Rahm holed a loing-distance putt in the play-off while the American's effort finished short.

Elsewhere, American Austin Ernst carded an eight-under final round of 63 to win the LPGA Arkansas Championship by two shots.

The world number 58 finished on 20 under to land the title after 144 starts since her last LPGA win in 2014.

While In Sutton Coldfield, England, 19-year-old Dane Rasmus Hojgaard won a play-off to clinch the UK Championship and secure his second European Tour victory.

Hojgaard defeated South Africa's Justin Walters with a par on the second extra hole at The Belfry after the pair finished tied on 14 under par.

And Denmark's Emily Kristine Pedersen eagled the final hole to win the Women's Czech Open by four shots, finishing on 17 under par to win from Austria's Christine Wolf.
