Golf - World Challenge

This event, which takes place each December, is hosted by Tiger Woods. Initially the tournament had a 16-man field, which was increased to 18 players in 2008, consisting of the most recent winners of the four golfing majors, the next top 11 players on the Official World Golf Ranking, the defending champion, and two invited players. Its prize money is not included on the PGA Tour list but the tournament is a tour event and, since 2009, offers Official World Golf Ranking points. In the year of its inauguration, 2000, the tournament was staged twice, in January and DecemberIt was staged at Grayhawk in Scottsdale, Arizona, Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California and Isleworth in Florida before finding its current home in Albany in the Bahamas. It was not held in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
