Rugby - Millennium Trophy

This curious trophy with a design based on a Viking helmet was created to mark the city of Dublin's 1,000th anniversary in 1988. It is contested in all England-Ireland Men's matches outside of the World Cup. Prior to the Millennium Trophy era, in exactly 100 meetings, England had beaten Ireland 56 times and lost 36 matches, with eight draws since they first met in 1875 at The Oval in London.
