Rugby - Men's Sevens World Cup
This used to be the pinnacle of Sevens rugby but after the 2022 edition, World Rugby decided that the winners of annual World Sevens Series should be proclaimed as "World Champions". The winners of this quadrennial tournament were awarded the Melrose Cup, named after the Scottish borders town where the first Sevens tournament was played in 1883.
