Rugby - Men's Australia Sevens

Held annually in the early of the year, this was initially an initation tournament before becoming part of the annual World Sevens Series in 2000. In 2001 the event was cancelled due to the successful, and popular, Fiji team being unable to compete due to a political dispute between its government and the Australian administration of the time. The planned 2021 and 2022 tournaments were not staged due to travel restrictions imposed during the Covid-19 pandemic.
