English club Aston Villa beat German side Freiburg 3-0 in football's Europa League final in Istanbul, Turkiye to end a 30-year wait for a major trophy. 
Belgian Youri Tielemans, Argentine Emi Buendia and Englishman Morgan Rogers scored the goals at Besiktas Park to seal a second European title, 44 years after they won the European Cup, with their most recent prize being the 1996 League Cup.
