Italy's Jannik Sinner added the Miami Open tennis title to his Indian Wells victory a fortnight ago, with a 6-4 6-4 win over Czech Jiri Lehecka in the final. Sinner is  the first man to complete what is known as the 'Sunshine Double' in the same year, without dropping a set.
The day before, Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus comopleted the female version of the 'Sunshine Double', beating American Coco Gauff 6-2 4-6 6-3 in the final to retain the WTA Miami Open title. Sabalenka is the fifth woman - and the first since Iga Swiatek in 2022 - to achieve the feat in the same season.
