Canterbury beat fellow south island side Otago 36-28 in the final to win New Zeland rugby's National Provincial Championship for the 15th time.
Canterbury, playing on home turf in Christchurch, trailed by four points at half-time, but three tries in 13 minutes laid the platform for the win.
