World number 204 Valentin Vacherot from Monaco beat cousin Arthur Rinderknech of France 4-6 6-3 6-3 in the final to win his first ATP title at the Shanghai Masters in China.
Vacherot became the lowest-ranked ATP Masters 1,000 champion since the series began in 1990.
