American Nick Dunlap became the first amateur to win a PGA Tour golf event since Phil Mickelson in 1991 when he won at La Quinta, California.
The 20-year-old beat South Africa's Christiaan Bezuidenhout by one shot but because he is an amateur, Dunlap did not receive any prize money, with the $1.5m (£1.2m) winner's cheque going to Bezuidenhout.
