Golfer Billy Horschel won the European PGA Championship at Wentworth in Virginia Water, England by one shot to become only the second American after Arnold Palmer (1975) to win the European Tour's flagship event.

England's Laurie Canter, Kiradech Aphibarnrat of Thailand and Welshman Jamie Donaldson finished tied in second place.
