brown registers huge shock in newport

World number 81 Jordan Brown became the lowest-ranked player since 1993 to win a snooker ranking title with a 9-8 victory over world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan in the final of the Welsh Open in Newport.
The Northern Irishman held his nerve in the deciding frame, after England's O'Sullivan had levelled at 8-8 with a 119 break.
