McGowan ends epic wait

England's Ross McGowan ended an 11-year wait for a European Tour title with a one-shot win at the Italian Open in San Vigilio di Pozzolengo, Brescia.
Fellow Englishman Laurie Canter and Belgian Nicolas Colsaerts finished joint-second.
McGowan, the 38-year-old world number 560, had not clinched a tour win since the Madrid Masters in 2009.
