The contests planned for July between Australia and Ireland for the Lansdowne Cup have been cancelled due to the effects of the Covid-19 outbreak. 

In a statement, World Rugby said that the extended travel and quarantine restrictions that apply to numerous countries, and concerns over adequate player preparation time, mean that any sort of cross-border international rugby competition cannot be hosted in July.
