Football - Argentina League Title
The winners of the Primera Division are the champions of Argentina. It is the fourth oldest national club football championship in the world after the leagues in England, Ireland and Scotland.
From 1967 to 1985 two tournaments were held each year, the Metropolitano and the Nacional, the winners of each were deemed to be Argentine champions.
Similarly, from 1991-92 through to 2013-14 the Apertura and Clausura titles were staged each season, across years. From 2015 the season has been organised within one calendar year.
