New Zealand grabbed their first Test victory in Australia for 26 years with a thrilling win in Tasmania, to draw the two-match series 1-1. Australia retained the Trans-Tasman Trophy. Australia needed only 169 more runs with all 10 wickets stadning at the start of day four at Bellerive Oval, but Doug Bracewell took 6-40 to take the Kiwis to victory despite David Warner hitting a maiden Test century. It was the first time the Aussies had ever lost three Tests in a series by an innings.
