Cricket - West Indies First Class Championship

Currently known as the “The Four Day Championship”, the first class competition in the West Indies is contested by Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad &Tobago, Leeward Islands and Windward Islands. The latter two, who previously competed together as the Combined Islands, are each formed by players from multiple countries and territories.

The current structure is a double round-robin league system with the team earning the most points being declared the winner and awarded the George Headley/Everton Weekes trophy . Twelve points are given for a match win, eight for a tie and there are a variety of points offered for drawn games and bonus points for first innings leads.

On a few occasions teams from other cricket boards around the world have featured as guests and from 2008 to 2014 Combined Campuses and Colleges took part.
