Rugby - Celtic League/PRO12/PRO14
In response to the huge success of the English Premiership and French Top 14, Ireland, Scotland and Wales organised themselves into a season-long league competition. In 2009/10 the tournament joined the other leagues in adopting a final to decide its champions. From 2010/11, two Italian clubs joined and the competition was renamed the PRO12 from the following season. In 2017/18 the league was expanded to include two South Africa-based sides, was turned into a two conference format, plus the knockout stage, and called the PRO14.
