Angelique Kerber became the first person to best Caoline Wozniacki in the Copenhagen Open when she beat the great Dane in the final in straight sets.On the ATP circuit, Juan Monaco beat John Isner 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 to cllaim the US  Clay Court Championship trophy in Houston, while Pablo Andujar defeated Albert Ramos 6-1, 7-6 inthe final of the Grand Prix Hassan II title in Casblanca, Morocco.

Serena Williams claimed the 40th title of her career when she beat Lucie Safarova of the Czech Republic for the loss of just one game in the final of the Charleston Cup in South Carolina, Usa.
